Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Email address and name. Collected when you opt in to receive your IQ Score results or subscribe to our newsletter. Providing your name is optional; an email address is required to deliver results and emails.
• General quiz responses. The IQ Score quiz records the general, non-financial category answers you select (for example, risk comfort). It never asks for dollar amounts, balances, or income.
• Usage and analytics data. Like most websites, we collect standard technical data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring source — through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details.
• Billing information. If you subscribe, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number on our systems.

2. How we use your information

• To deliver your IQ Score results and the educational content you request;
• To send newsletters and educational emails you have opted in to receive;
• To operate, maintain, and improve the website and its content;
• To administer subscriptions and process payments; and
• To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Service providers we share with

We share limited information with trusted providers only as needed to operate the Service:

• Email provider — Kit (formerly ConvertKit). Stores your email address and name to deliver IQ Score results and newsletters.
• Analytics — Google. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics process usage data to help us understand how the site is used.
• Payment processor. Processes subscription payments securely; we receive confirmation and limited transaction details, not full card data.

Each provider handles your data under its own privacy policy.

4. Cookies

5. Your rights and choices

• Access. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Deletion. Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Unsubscribe. Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us.

6. Data retention

We retain your information only as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we remove your personal information from active systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. The law that applies to us

ETFWealthIQ is operated from Ontario, Canada by the sole proprietorship identified in our Terms of Service (registered business name ETF WEALTH IQ, BIN 1001201473). Our handling of personal information is governed by Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Our commercial email is governed by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We send marketing email only to people who asked for it, every message identifies us and carries a working one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribes take effect promptly. Transactional messages you request — a sign-in link, a receipt, a service notice — are not marketing email and are sent regardless of marketing preference.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we process your information on the basis of your consent (newsletter and assessment opt-ins) or our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service, and we honour access, correction, deletion, and objection requests as set out in section 5 regardless of where you live.

Complaints. If we have not resolved a privacy concern to your satisfaction, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Asking us first is faster, and we would rather fix it.

8. Where your information is processed

We are based in Canada, and several of the providers listed in section 3 process data in the United States or other countries. Personal information held in another country may be accessible to that country’s courts, law enforcement, and national-security authorities under its own laws. When we engage a provider outside Canada we use providers that offer contractual protections comparable to the standard we apply ourselves, but we cannot exempt data from the law of the place it is processed. Using the Service means accepting that transfer.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is a general-audience educational publication for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we revise the effective date above, and where a change materially affects how we handle information already collected, we notify subscribers by email rather than relying on the updated date alone.
