Terms of Service

1. Nature of the service

ETFWealthIQ is an educational publisher. The Service publishes research about portfolio construction methodologies, backtested model portfolios, data visualizations, and investment concepts on a regular schedule. All model portfolios are illustrative examples presented for educational purposes.

The Service is not investment advice and is not personalized to your circumstances. ETFWealthIQ is not a registered investment adviser, portfolio manager, or financial planner. We do not manage money, execute trades, or provide one-on-one portfolio reviews. You make all investment decisions and execute all trades independently. See our Disclaimer for the full compliance language, which forms part of these Terms.

2. Subscription and billing

Access to paid tiers requires a subscription. Subscriptions are billed on an annual-first basis: in your first year, billing is annual only. Monthly billing may become available at renewal for eligible tiers. Prices are stated on the Pricing page and are charged in advance for the applicable term.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid term.

30-day refund. If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase by contacting hello@etfwealthiq.com. Refunds after the 30-day window are at our discretion.

3. Acceptable use

Your subscription is for your own personal, non-commercial educational use. You agree not to:

• Share, resell, sublicense, or redistribute subscriber-only content or Blueprint configurations;
• Scrape, bulk-download, or use automated means to extract content except as expressly permitted;
• Republish the content as your own or use it to operate a competing publication or advisory service;
• Misrepresent the educational content as personalized advice to any third party; or
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.

4. Intellectual property

The ETFWealthIQ name, logo, written content, and the Blueprint portfolio configurations — including allocations, weights, construction methodologies, and avatar-voice copy — are the proprietary intellectual property of ETFWealthIQ and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the content for your own educational purposes for the duration of your subscription. No other rights are granted.

The underlying backtesting engine, Boutquin.Trading, is separate from the proprietary Blueprint configurations and is published as open-source software under the MIT License. The MIT License governs your use of that engine independently of these Terms. Open-sourcing a general-purpose engine does not place the proprietary Blueprint configurations into the public domain — the engine is a library; the Blueprints are the product.

5. No investment, tax, or legal advice

Nothing on the Service constitutes investment, tax, legal, or other professional advice, and no content should be construed as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Model portfolios are illustrative examples, not instructions. Past performance — including hypothetical backtested performance — is not indicative of future results. Before making any investment decision, consult a qualified professional who understands your individual circumstances, goals, and risk tolerance.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the content is error-free, complete, or current. The full required disclaimers — including the backtest, Canadian-securities, and open-source disclaimers — appear on our Disclaimer page and are incorporated here by reference.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ETFWealthIQ and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any investment losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. You use the content and any open-source software at your own risk.

7. Changes to the service or these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing-law jurisdiction — placeholder, to be confirmed by counsel], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction.
